Rhodochrosite, Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru
I have a moderately large stock of rhodochrosites and only a few are posted here. If you are looking for something in particular, please let me know. Most of the pieces I have are in the miniature to small cabinet size, with a few thumbnails.
Epidote, Angelina III Mine, Pisco Province, Ica Department, Peru
CR1289, Rhodochrosite, 82.4g, 4.1 x 2.5 x 3.5 $65 Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. Nice miniature cluster of Rhodochrosite on quartz. Minor damage, reflection (upper center) is on a cleaved surface.
CR1298, Rhodochrosite,26.5 g, 2.4 x 2.2 x 2.0 $35 Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. Nice thumbnail
CR1300, Rhodochrosite, 71.2 g, 4.7 x 3.9 x2.0 $35 Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru. Nice miniature with good contrast between the rhodochrosite and the black wad.
Stibnite, Quiruvilca Mine, Peru
CR1323 Stibnite 56.3 g, 4.2 x 3.8 x 2.2 $19
These stibnites are mostly in miniature to small cabinet sized pieces and generally display well from several views. These tend to be difficult to photograph due to reflection from the bright surfaces
CR1324 Stibnite 62 g, 5.0 x 3.6 x 3.5 cm, $25. Very nice piece with nice starburst cluster.
CR1325 Stibnite 76.0 g, 5.6 x 3.6 x 3.4 cm, $28. Very nice piece with sprays that interpenetrate. Lots of open space between the crystals.
The Angelina III Mine has Epidote with nice blocky prismatic crystals on a matrix of drusy Epidote. Very showy pieces at reasonable prices since these are fairly abundant, at least for now.
CR1509, Epidote, 234 g, 7.8 x 5.7 x 4.4 cm, $65. Nice small cabinet piece. Largest crystal, top center, is 2.8 cm long.
CR1510, Epidote, 74.2g, 4.6 x 2.6 x 3.9 cm $35 . Nice large miniature to small cabinet piece. Largest crystal, approximately 2.0 cm long. Nice balance between the larger crystals and matrix.
CR1511, Epidote, 145 g, 6.4 x 5.0 x 3.4 cm $55 . Nice small cabinet piece with minimal matrix. Largest crystal, approximately 2.0 cm long. Dominantly larger crystals cover the piece.
